Twitterature / May 2014

A Twitter-inspired look at books I’ve been reading recently.  (And here’s what I read last month.)  What’s on your bookshelf these days?

The Sense of an Ending / Julian Barnes
A melancholic, odd little tale of subjective memory and unforeseen consequences. Beautifully crafted prose and an unreliable narrator make for unexpectedly good read.

Eating Heaven / Jennie Shortridge
Relationships with food and family are extra complicated for our heroine as she wrestles through secrets from her past.  Filled with poignant writing and deliciously descriptive details.

King and Maxwell / David Baldacci
Baldacci’s political thrillers are as enjoyable as they are predictable.  His new releases will always make my Guilty Pleasure book list.

I’m linking up with Anne Bogel for her Twitterature series. Hop on over to Modern Mrs. Darcy for more.
